About PortsNative

PortsNative is an independent catalog that brings together projects offering different ways to play and explore video games. It includes native ports, recompilations, browser games, emulators and related tools. The idea grew from a simple need: many interesting projects are scattered across repositories, posts and websites that are hard to follow. We want you to find them by name, understand what each one does and reach the work of its creators without searching through many separate sources.

Our role is to organize information and present it clearly. An entry may bring together the original platform, supported systems, project status, related versions and links to official sources. When identifiable documentation from the author exists, we may also show guidance for getting started. PortsNative is not the official store for these projects and does not host original game files. Games, names, images and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and every project retains its own identity and terms.

How the catalog works

Start by searching for a game or project by name. You can also browse by type and filter results by the platform you care about, such as PC, Android, macOS, Linux or the browser. Cover art helps you recognize projects, while names, genres and system icons provide a quick overview before you open an entry. Combining search and filters narrows the list when you have something specific in mind, so you do not have to go through every page one by one.

An entry shows the available project details and its official links. When several ports or versions of the same game exist, they appear together so you can compare them and move between them. Some entries include instructions based on the author's public documentation; others point directly to the repository or website because a clear guide is not available. You can also save projects to My list and return to them later. That list stays in your browser and does not change what other visitors see.

Who we are

PortsNative is an independent initiative focused on making information about ports and related projects easier to access. We want developers' work to be discoverable and visitors to know where to find original versions, requirements and instructions. Organizing a catalog means checking names, links, platforms and changes carefully, but it does not make us the authors of the games or ports listed here. We do not officially represent the teams that develop them either.

People who use the catalog can help it improve. If you know a missing port or browser game, you can suggest it; if you created a port, you can submit your project's details for a possible entry. Submissions do not appear automatically: we review their links and information first. We want PortsNative to be a starting point for discovering projects while making sure each visit can continue where it belongs: on the creators' own pages.
